When a pet goes missing, time and visibility matter. Thermal drones use heat-sensing cameras to detect warm-blooded animals that may be hidden by darkness, tall grass, brush, or wooded terrain. Thermal imaging is often most effective during cooler periods such as night, early morning, and evening, when temperature contrast is strongest. Midday heat, warm surfaces, dense canopy, and certain weather conditions can reduce effectiveness, so timing and conditions matter.
All lost pet recovery flights are conducted by FAA Part 107 certified and insured pilots using professional-grade thermal equipment, including the DJI Matrice 4 Thermal.
